This Never Happened On ‘Soul Food’
There’s always going to be drama associated with a wedding. It’s clear from the shows I’ve been introduced to on television, and I’ve seen it in my own experiences. It’s peculiar to me because the entire process involves the people closest to you, so it’s almost heartbreaking when you have trouble coming from various involved parties.
Apparently, we aren’t immune.
A certain family member who was adamant about not coming to the wedding, has suddenly had a change of heart. All printable materials have been printed, plates ordered, programs set. Why does this all matter? Because this particular family member is not just a random cousin we’ve never met, or a crazy uncle, but an integral part of family structures the world over.
What a pickle.
No need to go into whose family it is, or what we’re going to do about it, because it’s still being worked out. And we thought it was all about us…
