Wedding Stressing You Out? Take a Trip To Jacksonville!
In case you were wondering, the drama with the indecisive family member was settled. We’ve incorporated the person into the ceremony, and found room at the reception, much to our chagrin. Hey, it’s family, what else are you gonna do?
Considering that the suddenness of this particular problem drove us batty for a few days, I decided to try to make a fun filled weekend for my future wife by taking a little trip. We’ve made ourselves a promise that in our lives together, we will visit all 50 states and all seven continents. So far, we’ve made it to Connecticut, Massachusetts, Virginia, and South Carolina. We’ve been other places separately, or driven through others, but the intent is to actually visit each place for a period of time.
So, we’re headed down to the swamp for weekend in Jacksonville, Fla.
Jacksonville?
It was the only last minute deal that was affordable and had flights going out at a reasonable time. Hey, it’s the home of the Jaguars, so we aren’t complaining.
It’s not much, no plans, no specific reason, just a reason to go and a low rate on flights and hotels provided by Travelocity.com. I’ve booked through them before when we traveled to South Carolina, and they seemed to be on point. Even when I had a horrible experience at the hotel I booked, the were expeditious in getting my money back to me.
If you know of any fun things to do in the downtown area of J-Ville that don’t involve crunk music, that’s where we’ll be. I’ve heard that its raining down there now, so I’m ready for that L. I hope to keep you posted on what the ‘Ville has to offer young couples on the brink of marriage.
