Four Days To the Love Boat

So now that we’re back from Puerto Rico, we have four more days until we depart for our Caribbean cruise. If you’ve ever been on an extended vacation in a tropical location, you know that you have to recuperate from sightseeing, swimming, and all the sun you soak up on these trips.

Not to mention, other activities that go on with newlywed couples.
So this week, I’m taking the time to completely relax and not worry about anything I don’t have to. I was hoping my wife would not be running around like a maniac, considering that she did so much to organize and plan the wedding, but she is. Between writing thank-you cards, and organizing our gifts, she’s still on the move. I offer my help, but apparently I’m fitting into the bumbling, loveable husband stereotype perfectly, just seven days into married bliss.

I’ve never been on a cruise before, but the way that my wife’s parents swear by it, I’ve been programmed to think its the best kind of vacation anyone can go on. Our boat is the Explorer of the Seas, and the way I understand it, the only things you pay for on this cruise are souvenirs, liquor and gambling. Food, activities and shows are all free. My father-in-law bankrolled this entire trip for us as a wedding present, and this was in addition to what he shelled out for our wedding.
He’s not a drinker, but you better believe I will find a way to make that man happy while he’s on this cruise.

I am excited about our second honeymoon trip, but there are three things I’m looking forward aside from the quality time and memories with my wife.

3. Winning some hands at the poker tables.

2. Shooting hoop on a ship sailing through the Atlantic Ocean.

1. Seeing an Ted Lange lookalike.
