Thanksgiving Day
As I’m just waking up to a smiling wife eager to head down to the kitchen and prepare our first Thanksgiving meal as husband and wife, I’m reflective on several things, many of which are a direct result of me being the luckiest S.O.B on the planet Earth.
- How many people have wives that don’t like/know how to cook?
- How many people have wives that can cook, but they don’t have the resources to make a big meal?
- How many people don’t have wives?
There’s a plethora of things that I am thankful for in my life. My family and friends, my job and the people I try to help, my church and its members, and the ability to be able to recount all of it to you. But most of all, I’m thankful for having a wife who makes it all possible, and if there’s anything this holiday has showed me about my marriage, it that’s it’s not just about being thankful, but being prayerful.
