I Love You Because…
A couple of nights ago, my wife suggested that we start doing this little thing where we tell each other a reason why we love each other. It could be as light as “because you take out the trash,” or as heavy as “because you inspire me to live a better life.”
I think it’s a great idea, and while I haven’t asked her, I wonder if she got the idea from watching Oprah or something. Clearly I’m not romantic enough to come up with something like that. All I do is write about how much happier my life is thanks to my wife on a blog that four people read.
So if you are married, planning on getting married, or just have a friend or family member you really love, you should take the opportunity to let them know. Not because you hope that say it back to you in an eloquent or elaborate way, but because life’s too short to regret not letting someone know how you feel about them.
