A man’s life was spared during a store robbery as a bullet fired by the robber was deflected by his wedding ring.
Donnie Register was held at gunpoint by one of the two men robbing his store, The Antique Market, said Sgt. Jeffery Scott. The robbers started by walking into the store asking to see a coin collection. As Register retrieved the collection, one of the men then pulled out a gun, pointed it at Register, and demanded money.
The gun was fired at some point.
Makes me wish we actually went with the titanium wedding ring set instead of the silver.
