That’s the endeavor of a New Jersey woman, who doesn’t hope to be married in a year, but at least hopes to have found her soulmate before 2010.
I’m mixed about this kind of project. She’s already gotten good publicity for the site being out there, which means that a lot of men will try to get with her just to be a part of the follow-up media coverage a year from now. I hesitate to criticize the move, because she’s being proactive about finding a companion and being totally up front about her intentions.
On the other hand, I know from first hand experience that great things like love tend to show up when you aren’t looking. The moment you decide that singleness is okay for the time being, here comes someone who exceeds your expectations and creates new ones.
And is this really possible with such a widely popularized search for a husband?
More power to her. I hope her search is drama free and successful. I know what can happen in 60 days, so I can only imagine what a whole year will yield.
