Little Battles in Marriage That I Win…Sometimes
Everybody has these little nuances in their relationship where spouses try to establish their role. These are the tiny battles that my wife and I have, that sometimes, I get away with.
Notice the italics on sometimes. It must be made clear that I do not always emerge as champion on these issues.
- Who holds the remote
- What’s the temperature in the house
- What movie we go to see on Friday nights
Now, I don’t always win these battles, but more often than not, you can chalk these three discussions up as a ‘W’ for my preference. I don’t know how they happened, but life kind of shook these three things out to go my way on a regular basis.
As you notice, my wife is sly enough to let me have these three inconsequential things, and dominate the other 997 things that actually matter in our relationship. What a smart girl.
